The Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre depends on generous donations from individuals, businesses, and grants for running our day-to-day operations, and for special events and projects. We welcome all corporations or organizations to contact us for more information on how to give either one-time donations or ongoing support. There are always many plans in the works, with the goal of obtaining consistent, quality care for local wildlife. We are a Registered Charity with the Canadian Revenue Agency, # 81402 0210 RR0001.
Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre relies heavily on your donations for maintenance and supplies, and currently receives no government funding. Any amount is much appreciated in helping to keep the Centre running year-round.
Donations of $20.00 or more will receive an income tax receipt. Use the button below to make your donation via a secure site. You may set up a monthly giving plan, and also designate how your donation is to be used – for an aviary for large birds, education programs for schools, or for food and medical supplies.
Did you know that if you donate to the United Way at your place of work, that you can specify where donations are sent? We would like to thank those donors who do support SPWC through deductions from their payroll.
To make a donation by cheque, please print the Mail-in Donation Form.

Event Sponsors and Donors
One of the best parts about fund-raising is hosting fun and original events, such as the Annual Art & Jewellery Sale, the Spring Baby Shower, the Howl-o-ween Pet Costume Party, and Death by Chocolate. These events are made successful in part by the helpful contributions of organizations that lend their financial support. A thank you to all the sponsors below!
Project Sponsors and Donors
There are many opportunities to assistance to various special projects at the Centre. With our educational outreach program, we strive to bring about awareness of wildlife issues, such as preventing harm to animals, to the public. We also hope to renovate and improve the existing clinic space, giving more room and better facilities to the animals under our care. Thank you to our grant and individual sponsors below!
The Napanee District Community Foundation (NDCF) gave funding to our 2015 Turtle project, which included turtle tanks, water heaters, and thermometers.
Lush Charity Pot has funded our new fox enclosure. Lush donates to small, grassroots organizations that could use a helping hand to continue the incredible work they do, which includes the areas of environmental conservation and animal welfare.
The Frontenac Outfitters Canoe & Kayak Centre turned their 2013 spring sale into a fundraising event, which included raffles and a grand prize giveaway, live entertainment, free B.B.Q. lunch, and other fun activities.
Union Gas sponsored volunteers to help build our new aviary. They joined James Birmingham and his workers from Above the Waterline. Union Gas generously donated to pay for the materials needed, mostly lumber and nails.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation has granted funds for our existing shelter renovations, as well as staff salaries.
Mountain Equipment Co-op has granted funds for the new education outreach program.
The HIVA Environmental Fund has granted funds for food supplies for one year.
And a special thank you to Dr. Diane Arthur, who has contributed a generous amount towards building the new SPWC clinic. This will help greatly in raising funds, which will go towards our long term plan of providing even better care and rehabilitation for our wild patients.
Ongoing Sponsors and Donors
One of the most crucial reasons to donate is to ensure that the ongoing needs and operations of the Centre are met. It is vital that the injured or orphaned animals receive quality veterinary and medical care throughout their stay. Our excellent team can guarantee this level of healing care only with your kindhearted support. Please contact us if you are a corporation willing to donate annually or a one-time amount, or by donating supplies frequently.
